My name is Colin Hughes and apart from Mathematics I am passionate about Theology and Philosophy. Yet to quote Paul from his letter to the Church in Philippi, "I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord." (Philippians 3:8)

I certainly believe that God has created us with enquiring minds. However, it would take a proud and arrogant fool to suggest that any one of us has made God any more glorious through a particular insight or idea. In other words, nothing we say, do, or think can add to or remove from the glory of God. Instead, His glory is made known in our personal lives as He continually challenges and equips us to seek Him and then rewards us by revealling more of Himself to us.

The primary aim of is not to evangelise - although I hope and pray that God may speak through my words. Neither is my intention to enter debates with agnotstics. Rather this website represents a place where I will share some of the observations and insights I have made on my personal journey. I do not claim infallibility; I often let my passion outdo rationality; I am unashamedly biased in my Christian outlook; I hold the Scriptures of the Christian bible in the highest regard; and I am hopelessly in love with Christ who I believe is the only means of salvation: solus ChristusChrist alone (see The Five Solas).

I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.
